Word, the Sword

Words are like swords. We can't perform certain operations efficiently (E.g. Communicating/Cutting) without them. On the other hand, both of them could be disastrous, if misused.

Thirukkural captures it beautifully

Could be translated as
"The fire-burnt wounds do find a cure
Tongue-burnt wound rests a running sore."
Words.. They were the basis for languages - Today, I couldn't think of a world without language or words. But, words could cause lots of confusion and jeopardize good relationships. This week, had a pretty bad experience of (a) Watching too much on other's words (b) Not watching properly on my own words. Generally, I dont do these - But dont know how it all happened - Just a bad day. Too err is humane, but repeating it is foolishness. Hope I'm a bit more careful in future.

BTB, it seems like most of my blog entries are related to 2 of the 4 Ls - Life & Love. In future, would try to have equal distribution of all the 4 Ls :o)

Hmm.. Looks like you've had a bad day with your/others' words. But, I've seen that sometimes, it's better to talk out what youo feel than keep it within yourself and aggrevate the bad feelings. Words just reflect your mood, and it's best to express your mood sometimes, than to hide it and end up with a bigger worse situation later on.

Yes, Sri... You are right... We definitely have to talk what is in our mind..

At the same time, it doesn't make sense to talk like PrakashRaj or SJ Surah of "Ah Aah.."

The way Prakash Raj talks in some movie (I am not sure whether it's "Kalki" or "Aasai") - Some dialogue like "Ithukku munnadi enna sonna..? Ethukku munnadi, but athukku pinnadi.. ".. some crappy (frustating to the one who is on the recv-ing side) dialogues like that..

If you have seen "Ah Aah", u wud understand what I am talking abt..
